Srija and Sirish the newly wed couple of Chiranjeevi’s daughter and son-in-law filed a petition in the Delhi High Court for protection. Subsequently, Delhi High Court granted them protection and the final hearing of their case was postponed to October 29.
The couple addressed a press conference and said that they were on a vacation in Delhi after the marriage.
Srija told the media that since she and her husband feared being separated by her family, they left to Delhi and sought the courts protection and apologized to her father and family for any pain she caused to them by her acts and said that she hoped to return to Andhra soon and get the blessings of her family.
Sirish Bharadwaj, said that they would return to home(Andhra Pradesh) once their security is assured.
Chiranjeevi’s brother actor Kalyan surrendered his revolver to police
“I am surrendering the weapon, so that there is no scope for misunderstanding in any quarter. We wish Srija a happy life wherever she is” said Chiranjeevi’s brother actor Kalyan after surrendered his revolver to the Jubilee Hills police station in Hyderabad
“There is absolutely no threat to their (couple’s) lives from us. We have neither any idea about their whereabouts nor are we searching for them” added Pavan Kalyan
A case had been against Sireesh Baradwaj registered at the Sanjeeva Reddy Nagar police station on a complaint of the girl?s father Arun Kumar under section 363. Venkatratnam, inspector of the S.R. Nagar police station, said the youth was arrested on March 30, 2002 and was in jail for a week. He was subsequently released on bail, because Arun Kumar and his daughter did not give witness. The kidnapping case was filed by Arun Kumar on March 27, 2002, and the police arrested Sireesh Baradwaj and his friends in front of a Lodge. The 15 year girl was returned to her parents.
Admitting that a case was registered against his son, Bharadwaj?s father Venkatramna Murthy claimed that the two had eloped. He was reportedly booked in another fake passport case.
