A R Rahman Honored by Rotary Club

A. R. Rahman has been conferred a Lifetime Achievement Award for his services to Indian music by the Rotary Club of Madras on the 24th of June in Chennai.

I feel like my slate is yet to be written on, said A.R. Rahman while accepting the Lifetime Achievement Award (2007-2008) conferred upon him by the Rotary Club of Madras.

If you can start playing the piano at four, you can accept a Lifetime Achievement Award at 40, said Indra Subramanyam, President, Rotary Club of Madras.

Rahman said he listens to music from different genres, from The Carpenters to M.S. Vishwanathan and compositions of Kannadasan and Naushad.
