Vanathai Pola success team Captain Vijayakanth and Vikraman are again coming together for Mariyaathai. Mariyaathai stars Vijayakanth in dual roles of father and son with Meera Jasmine and Meena in the female lead role.

A group of almost 40 unidentified men came in auto rickshaws and motorbikes to pelted stones at Popular comedian actor Vadivelu’s house house and office on Sunday morning (September 21) morning.
Following the incident Vadivelu has registered a complaint with the Police against Vijayakanth’s political party DMDK men. Chennai police has registered a FIR (first information report) against DMDK leader Vijayakanth and 40 others.
What is cooking between them?
Vadivelu and Vijayakanth are having a running feud for about a year after Vijayakanth floated his party the DMDK. Following a quarrel over parking of vehicles outside the Vadivelu’s house, separate cases were registered against Vadivelu and Vijayakanth’s manager Sathish Kumar on Sept 12, 2007.
Hindi movie in which Shilpa Shetty and her sister Shamitha Shetty acted together, Fareb, is being dubbed and will released in tamil as Kama sathileelavathy.
Manoj Bajpai, Shilpa Shetty and Shamita Shetty form part of the cast. Bajpai stars as Aditya, a creative director of an advertising agency. Shilpa stars as Neha, a doctor and the wife of Aditya. The movie has been directed by actor Deepak Tijori.
Titled ‘Kama Sathileelavathy’, the film is being designed as an emotional thriller.
Earlier in Tamil, Shilpa Shetty had acted with Prabhudeva in Mr Romeo opposite while sister Shamith Shetty had shared the screen with Vijayakanth in a film.

“Captain” Vijayakanth joins with ace director Vikraman after a long gap. Success team gave blockbuster “Vaanathai Pola” in 1999, which rocked the industry with record collection equal to Rajini’s Padayappa.
According to Vikraman, the new film is based on a family oriented script which satisfies the lady viewers.
The audio of Vijayakanth – Navneeth Kaur starrer ‘Arasangam‘ is slated to be launched on March 28.
For the first time in the history an audio CD of a movie will be sold 1 lakh copies on the day of the release. It is one of the rarest happenings in 75 years of Tamil cinema history.
‘Arasangam’ is Vijayakanth ’s 150th film , directed by Madesh.
