He is smart, talent and handsome. He is one of the best hero in Tamil field …..Saravanan “Surya” Sivakumar popularly known as Surya who was born on 23 July 1975 is celebrating his birthday today.

After dating several years Surya married actress Jyothika on September 11, 2006 in a star-studded, traditional wedding ceremony at the Park Sheraton Hotel, Chennai. They were blessed with a baby girl named Diya on August 10, 2007 whose birth star is Punartha.

Film Career

He debuted in Nerrukku Ner (1997) with Vijay. Nandha was one of Surya’s best films. Surya won his first filmfare award for best actor for Nandha. Surya’s second blockbuster was Kaaka Kaaka, a movie about the life of a police officer , which made him a huge star overnight. This was also the movie that fueled intense speculation of his relationship with fellow co-star Jyothika.

Pithamagan alongside Vikram was a big hit, Surya was appreciated for being a very different character. Ghajini was one of the most sensational hits of Surya, with Surya playing a short term memory loss patient, for which he even tonsured his head. The film was his third blockbuster for Surya.

Now, Surya has signed up to Vaaranam Aayiram by Gautham Menon which is set for release soon. Surya is expected to celebrate his birthday with family and friends. Surya is also known for being a socially responsible person.
