Shriya in Deepa Mehta’s “Komagata Maru”

Having Hollywood movie( The Other End of the Line ) and other Bollywood movies in row now it’s official, Shriya is playing opposite Akshay Kumar in bollywood movie Komagata Maru.

Komagata Maru is being directed by Indian-born Canadian film director and screenwriter Deepa Mehta.Komagata Maru is a historic film based on true incidents that transpired in 1914. Akshay Kumar will be playing as Gurdit Singh and Shriya Saran is heroine.

Komagata Maru the voyage of a Japanese ship hired by people from Punjab led by Gurdit Singh from Hong Kong to Vancouver in 1914 with 376 passengers on board to immigrate to Canada(under British rule).

Five Women in Kamal’s Marmayogi !

Apart from Trisha, Shriya, Hema Malini and Shobana Looks like Kamal’s magnum opus Marmayogi is going to have one more deadly actress, Mumaith Khan – the item girl.

Trisha will be the main heroine, while Shriya Saran will play Kamal’s first wife, Hema Malini will be playing the role of a negative character and National Award winning actress Shobhana in a very strong role.

Mumaith Khan who joins last is rumoured to be playing the role of a negative character like Hema Malini.

Kamal Hassan’s trilingual film Marmayogi is going to feature 4 top actress namely Trisha , Shriya, Hema Malini and Shobana.

Marmayogi is based on eighth century India based story, Shivanasamudram water falls in Mandya district and other places in Karnataka have been chosen for Marmayogi shooting.

Two-time National Award winner Shobana is also part of Kamal’s Marmayogi, according to media reports. Shobana neither denied nor confirmed her role and said it would be better for Kamal Hassan to confirm it, the report says.

If Shobana is part of the trilingual film, then Kamal will have 4 top glittering actress namely Trisha, Shriya, Hema Malini and Shobhana.

Marmayogi shooting is expected to start in mid-October, date and location of the first shooting is not yet finalized. This movie is based on eighth century India based story, Shivanasamudram water falls in Mandya district and other places in Karnataka have been chosen for Marmayogi shooting.

Recently Shobana presented Maya Ravan Epic Ballet on Ravana in Mumbai.

Kamal’s Marmayogi Shooting Starts on Sep 25th

Kamal Haasan’s magnum opus Marmayogi shooting is scheduled to begin on September 25th. Kamal is both scripting and directing the movie in which he plays the protagonist, which will have its musical score by A.R.Rahman.

As we reported earlier, this movie is said to have two other heroines, with former miss Chennai Trisha and Rajini’s favorite Shriya playing lead heroines, while Bollywood actress Hemamalini plays a negative role in the movie.

Marmayogi is said to be shot in the backdrop of the seventh century. The shooting will began at Sedhusamudhram Falls. Marmayogi is being Co-produced by Pyramid Saimira and Rajkamal International.
