Sonia and Shahrukh – 50 Most Powerful People in the World

Congress president Sonia Gandhi and Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan have been ranked among the 50 most powerful people in the world by the Newsweek magazine. President-elect Barack Obama topped the list while Sonia Gandhi is in 17th spot and Shahrukh Khan in 41st spot.

Putting Sonia Gandhi at the 17th spot, the Newsweek magazine said: “Although India’s political scene is riven by factions, Congress remains the strongest national force, and the Italian-born widow of late former prime minister Rajiv Gandhi rules it unchallenged. In the world’s largest democracy, she’s queen.”

Putting Shahrukh Khan at the 41st spot, the Newsweek magazine said:

Who is the world’s biggest movie star? Brad? Will? Nah. His name is Shahrukh Khan, and he’s the king of Bollywood. It’s not just that his romantic flicks make gazillions it’s where those gazillions come from.

Goddess of Atlantis – Priyanka Chopra

The former Miss World Priyanka Chopra inaugurated the Dubai?s newest luxury resorts, Atlantis on Thursday, November 20th.

Priyanka Chopra has been named as the ‘Goddess of Atlantis’ at the function.

Present on the occasion were the likes of Hollywood actors like Lindsay Lohan,Robert De Niro, Denzel Washington and Gerard Butler, singers Janet Jackson and Lily Allen and basketball star Michael Jordan.

Bollywood actors Mallika Sherawat, Shahrukh Khan,Hrithik Roshan were among present.

Atlantis, The Palm, is the flagship resort of Palm Jumeirah, one of the three palm-shaped artificial islands off the coast of Dubai.

Shah Rukh’s Datuk Title, Trouble in Malaysia

King Khan of Bollywood, Shahrukh Khan has been awarded a prestigious title of ‘Datuk’ (the equivalent of a knighthood in Britain), by Malaysia in recognition of his promotion of the state through his films.

Now, People of Malaysia have voiced their strong objections to Shah Rukh Khan being conferred the high ranking title of “Datuk”, they turned furious and in protest against him, they ended up on roads.

They say Shahrukh does not deserve the title has done nothing to promote Malaysian culture and hardly knows anything about Malacca.

Shah Rukh Khan Launched His Dirham Property Development In Dubai

As we reported earlier, badshaaa Bollywood Shah Rukh Khan officially entered into real estate business in Dubai. SRK launched his 8 billion dirham property development at a press conference on October 5.

At a press conference at the Intercontinental Hotel, Dubai Festival City, On 5th October the star confirmed that he is venturing into real estate development in collaboration with UAE based TSA Group.

Shah Rukh, Bachchan THE COLD WAR COMES TO END

To put the cold war rumors between himself and Amitabh Bachchan family, Bollywood Superstar Shah Rukh Khan along with his wife Gauri Khan, son Aryan and daughter Suhana attended the premiere of Abhishek Bachchan’s film Drona, which opened Thursday ( Oct 2).

While interacting with media Bollywood King Khan said,

All the disputes between me and Mr Bachchan are media created and there is no ill feeling between us.

Referring to his infamous quarrel with Salman Khan, Shahrukh Khan said

I don’t talk about quarrels. Let others mention it, whoever wants to.

Well, one has to watch whether SRK and Bachchan Cold War cooled during the Drona premiere, hope it does.

Shahrukh Khan Attends Drona Premiere

Bollywood Superstar Shah Rukh Khan along with his wife Gauri Khan , son Aryan and daughter Suhana attended the premiere of Abhishek Bachchan’s film Drona, which opened Thursday ( October 2).

Goldie Behl directed film ‘Drona’ stars Abhishek Bachchan, Priyanka Chopra, Kay Kay Menon and Jaya Bachchan.

Apart from SRK and Bachchan family, among others who attendended the star-studded premiere of Drona were Priyanka Chopra, Sushmita Sen, Riteish Deshmukh, Preity Zinta, industrialist Anil Ambani, and Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh.
