J D Chakravarthy, found by Ram Gopal Varma in Sathya who is donning negative role in Vishnuvardhan’s forthcoming film Sarvam with Arya will be playing Rajinikanthi’s Villan in Robot. Sarvam and Robot are being produced by Ayngaran films.

Vasu to direct Rajini again ?

If the reports are true then…. Rajinikanth, the one and only Superstar of Indian Box Office, will do another quickie like Kuselan before the release of his long term projects Robot and Sultan -the Warrior which would be directed again by P.Vasu.

Vasu may be the the only director, who could direct Rajini in highest number of films after ace director S.P.Muthuraman. S.P.Muthuraman had been associated with Rajini in 26 films!

Aishwarya highest paid- Rs 6 Crore for Shankar’s Robot

Aishwarya Rai has finally signed Shankar’s Rajinikanth starring dream project Robot — Reportedly she accepted a huge advance amount. Previously it was said she is the highest paid Bollywood actress with Rs 4 crores ( 40 million) for Rajnikanth’s leading lady in Shankar’s Robot. But now reports says Aishwarya is getting Rs 6 Crore for Robot — Highest ever salary paid to an actress for an Indian film.

Aishwarya Rai had signed Shankars Robot which stars Rajinikanth; she has also signed Mani Ratnams bilingual with Abhishek the schedules of these movies clashed and now the dates problem sorted by her recently.

Robot shooting is expected to start in the last week of August.

Priyamani in Sankar’s Robot ?

South India’s top entertainment king director Shankar who is on a world tour location hunting for Robot, had sent a telegram to actress Priyamani congratulating her for winning the National Award for Best Actress and also expressed desire to meet up.

Does this mean that Priyamani may be a part of Shankar’s next film with Rajinikanth starrer Robot ? Well, nothing official yet.. Keep watching extramirchi.com for more updates.

Director Shankar in global location hunt for Rajini’s Robot!

Director Shankar and his new cinematographer Ratnavel on the world tour to finalize locations for his Rajinikanth extravaganza Robot.

There will travel to Vienna in Austria, Rio de Janeiro in Brazil and Hanoi in Vietnam to identify the locations and the climate of the place.

The shooting for the film is expected to begin sometime in August.

I want to work with Rajni sir says Aishwarya Rai

Last week there was a gossip that “Aishwarya Rai is out of Shankar?s ?Robot? ?”, but the gorgeous Aishwarya Rai says that she wants to work with Tamil superstar Rajnikant in Robot.

Here is the expert from the interview why she accepted ‘Robot’:

Now you’ll be romancing Rajinikanth in Shankar’s Robot?

Ash : It’s a total Rajini-Shankar styled entertainer. There’s no logic as to why I agreed to do it beyond the urge to work with Rajinikanth. Shankar and Rajni sir have approached me for so many films, it’s embarrassing. Ever since we did Jeans together Shankar has approached me for all his films except “Boys”.

Rajini sir, being the senior that he is, has shown no egoistic traits in approaching me for his last four-five films. And my refusal to do his films was never misconstrued by him. I admire him for that. It speaks volumes for his seniority and his calibre as a human being to never take offence to my no.”

Is that why you said yes to Robot?

Ash : This time for Robot it was an immediate yes from me. I just wanted to work with Rajini sir and Shankar. My Jeans with Shankar was a super success. I learnt so much from Jeans and Shankar. Robot, too, will be a learning experience.

Is it a sci-fi film?

Ash : It is hard to define. But technically it will take cinema to another level. I can only say I’ll come away enriched. It’s very important for me to come away with something from my films since I give so much. I want to work with Rajini sir, yaar. He’s phenomenal. Everyone speaks of this experience. I’ll actually go through the experience.
