Official : Sun Pictures To Produce ENDHIRAN

As reported earlier Sun Pictures today officially announced the project with Superstar Rajinikanth.

Superstar Rajini and Shankar met with Kalanidhi maran of sun Pictures. Sun Pictures Chief Operating Officer Mr. W Hansraj Saxena and the cinematographer of the film Mr. Rathnavel were also present.

Global recession affected the Endhiran original budget of 120 crores. London-based producers Ayngaran International moved out, and the movie division of Sun TV Network Ltd stepped in to produce the film.

Mr. Rajinikanth said:

This is India’s biggest movie and I am very happy and honored to work with Sun Pictures and Mr Kalanithi Maran.

Enthiran Shooting in Goa, Rajini Disappoints Fans?

It may be recalled that Rajinikanth was intened to meet the office-bearers of his welfare association on 3rd October, but the meeting with his has been posponded to second week or third week of October.

Ranini along with Endhiran team goes to Goa and surrounding areas starting from October 7th to shoot for a song and some stunt sequences for his forthcoming magnum opus film Endhiran. Shankar is planning to shoot a song and some stunt sequences around 10 days in Goa and surrounding areas.

Rajini’s Endhiran Goes To GOA

Endhiran directed by Shankar, which stars Rajinikanth and Aishwarya Rai has completed a a song in Peru and USA.
Now, Shankar and team goes to Goa and surrounding areas in the first week of October to shoot for a song and some stunt sequences for Endhiran.

To prevent leakage of pictures like last time (Click to see 5 leaked pics ), mobile jammers will be used around the location.

Rajinikanth meeting with his office-bearers of his welfare association has been posponded to second week or third week of October once the crew returns from Goa.

“Murattu Kalai” Remake, Kalaignar TV into Film Production

Its barely three weeks since Sun TV launched it’s film production company called Sun Pictures, now it’s so called rival Kalaignar TV is also foraying into film production, according to media reports.

Kalaignar TV is remaking Rajinikanth’s Murattu Kalai (1980) which is to be directed by Selvabharathy.

Murattu Kaalai was a blockbuster Superstar Rajnikanth’s film of 1980s which featured Rajnikanth, Sumalatha, Suruli Rajan in lead roles. ‘Podhuvaaga en manasu thangam’ was the famous song featured in this film. This song is till date, one of the best Rajnikanth song and will remain so forever. Ilayaraaja has done the music. S.P.Muthuraman who directed this film went onto direct 25 films with Rajnikanth.

In the remake of Murattu Kalai our minimum guarantee hero Sundar.C is doing the Rajini’s role, while Suman is doing the villain role done by Jayashankar and Vivek is doing the Suralirajan’s comedy role.

This film is scheduled to release in 2009.

Endhiran, Marmayogi – Costliest Films To Be Made In India

Ayngaran and Eros International are producing Rajini’s Endhiran. Pyramind Saimira and Raj Kamal International are producing with Kamal Hassan’s Marmayogi.

Both Endhiran and Marmayogi are high budget films both would cross approximately Rs 150 crore while releasing, so they are expected to compete with each as the films are considered to be the costliest films to be made in India.
