One of the best cinematographer in India Nirav Shah is building India’s biggest film studio in Chennai with a budget of Rs. 100 crore. This film studio will be equipped with all available technologies. Place of this world class film studio will be located in Old Mahabalipuram Road in Chennai.

Reports suggests that he got the approval and construction work will begin in September 2008 and is expected to completed in 1 year.

Nirav Shah has shown his magic work in films like Arindhum Ariyamalum, Pattiyal, Billa, Pokkiri, Oram Po, Banaras, Dhoom, and Dhoom 2. Billa has been considered one of the best shot films in India. Three of his films have been nominated at the National Award for the best Cinematographer, Banaras (Hindi), Pattiyal (Tamil) and Dhoom 2 (Hindi).

Simbu’s Poda Podi will be directed by Vignesh Siva, Simbu’s school friend.

Recently Simbu met Toronto Mayor and got special permission to shoot the film there. Poda Podi will be shot in Toronto and it will be a musical love story. Simbu will showcase him in a new look in the film — short gelled hair.

The latest on the Robot is that cameraman is replaced again!

First director Shankar roped stylish Nirav Shah for his magnum opus Rajinikanth’s big-budget Robot. Later Nirav Shah was replaced by cameramen Thiru.

The latest is that cameraman R.Ratnavelu is replacing Thiru.  Cameraman R.Ratnavelu is currently finishing Gautham Menon’s Vaaranam Aayiram.

Well, we hope Ratnavelu will be the official cameraman for Superstar!
