Deepika Padukone and Mallaya Leads India Day parade in New York

Deepika Padukone, the hottest and most happening actress in bollywood lead the India Day parade as grand marshal at the 28th India Day Parade in New York, to celebrate India’s 61st Independence Day on the 17th of August.

Deepika Padukone and Chief guest Dr Vijay Mallya led the parade. The India Day parade has showcased India’s culture on Manhattan’s Madison Avenue since 1981. The parade attracts around 50,000 people  the biggest event outside India.

Last year, Actress Priyanka Chopra lead the parade( photos here) and Indian American astronaut Sunita Williams was the Guest of Honor.

Stunning 5? 9? tall Deepika Padukone, who made a successful Bollywood debut in 2007 with Om Shanti Om opposite Shahrukh Khan, is to lead 28th India Day Parade as a Grand Marshal in New York to celebrate India’s 61st Independence Day on 17th August 2008.

India 60th Independence Day parade was lead by Bollywood beauty Priyanka Chopra in Ney York City as Grand Marshal.? The parade attracts around 50,000 people — the biggest event outside India.

India Day Parade is organised every year by the Federation of Indian Associations (FIA), moves down Madison Avenue in Manhattan, at a venue where cultural and entertainment programmes are held.
