Shobana in Kamal’s Marmayogi

Two-time National Award winner Shobana is also part of Kamal’s Marmayogi, according to media reports. Shobana neither denied nor confirmed her role and said it would be better for Kamal Hassan to confirm it, the report says.

If Shobana is part of the trilingual film, then Kamal will have 4 top glittering actress namely Trisha, Shriya, Hema Malini and Shobhana.

Marmayogi shooting is expected to start in mid-October, date and location of the first shooting is not yet finalized. This movie is based on eighth century India based story, Shivanasamudram water falls in Mandya district and other places in Karnataka have been chosen for Marmayogi shooting.

Recently Shobana presented Maya Ravan Epic Ballet on Ravana in Mumbai.

Dasavatharam 100 Days ! – Important Landmark

Dasavatharam released on June 13, 2008 has touched important 100 day Landmark today ( September 20, 2008 ) in four Chennai theaters.

A pretty good day for Kamal fans. Dasavatharam had lot of critics widely, yet it achieved the 100 day landmark and box office collection.

Trisha Krishnan in Kamal’s Marmayogi !

Though it is not official, buzz is that former Miss Chennai glam quotient Trisha will pair with Kamal Hassan in Marmayogi. Last time Trisha had missed Dasavatharam, since she could not accommodate her dates.

However, Jayapradha is the only confirmed actress, who would be playing quite a prominent role. Raj Kamal Films and Pyramid Saimira is yet to make official announcement about the cast and the crew.

No Story in Dasavatharam – Says Bharathiraja

Director-writer Bharathiraja, who changed the way cinema is made in Kollywood, at a press meet held at Trichur recently said that Tamil cinema is undergoing a different phase without good stories.

He said Kamal Haasan’s Dasavatharam concentrated only on using the latest technologies and did not story. Lack of good scripts are more prevalent in both Tamil and Malayalam film industry.

Kamal Haasan was thrown a question by a reporter while back: “Do you agree that Dasavatharam has no story” Reacting to this, Kamal said that he did agree with that but also reiterated that he never promised that there would be a strong storline.

Ravi Verman the famous Cinematographer whose has used his excellent camera skills in movies like Vettaiyaadu Vilaiyaadu, Anniyan and Dasavatharam is venturing as the director with the movie Moscowin Kaveri.

The movie stars new commers Yasodha, Rahul Ravindran and Harshvardhan. Ravi Varman handles the camera. The Music is by S S Thaman, Lyrics by Vairamuthu and Stunts are by Kanal Kannan.

It’s a beautiful love story, shot in Karaikudi, Thiruvavur, Chennai, Bangalore and Pune with soul stirring music by new boy S S Thaman. Water is the underlying theme in the film, according to Ravi Varman.
