Trisha replaces Nayantara? – Chennai Super Kings ambassador

Chennai Super Kings IPL team has terminated Nayanthara contract as brand ambassador for allegedly breaching the terms of contract. The latest buzz is that Trisha Krishnan — prominent actress in both Tamil and Telugu film industrie has been roped in her place.

Chennai Super Kings sacks Nayanthara as brand ambassador

Twenty20 cricket team Chennai Super Kings – has terminated South Cinema?s numero-uno actress Nayanthara contract to be their brand ambassador for allegedly breaching the terms of her contract. The company has asked the actress to refund Rs.4 million( 40 lakhs) paid to her, legal action will be taken if she fails to comply.
Nayan suffered sunstroke and collapsed on the Kuselan movie sets and was not able to attend the previous Twenty20 match between Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai.
In an press release IPL?s Chennai Super Kings has said
As Nayanthara is unable to meet the commitments of regular match appearances, the team has now decided to go with a single star ambassador and from now Mr Vijay will be the sole brand ambassador for CSK. We are planning to shoot the promotional video with Vijay and Dhoni this week
According to reports spokesman of a leading event management company claimed that nayan ?fraudulently reported sick and admitting herself in a hospital? to stay away from the promotional video shoot.
Nayan responded by saying
I am shocked. I just can?t figure out what went wrong? I was unwell and helpless, advised by my doctor to take complete bed rest after I fainted on the sets due to low BP and heat.
Cheerleaders to give Indian Premier League (IPL) a boost

Indian Premier League cricket match which kick’s off today at Bangalore’s Chinnaswamy Stadium will have squad of Cheerleaders from the US football team the Washington Redskins. ( Match timetable )
The Redskins Cheerleaders will create the first-ever cheerleading squad for the Royal Challengers Bangalore, part of the new Indian Premier League (IPL) .
The Royal Challengers cricket franchise is owned by Dr. Vijay Mallya, through his company Royal Challengers sports private limited–a 100 percent subsidiary of United Spirits Limited.
Cheerleaders in cricket is a new concept in India, although teams from South Africa and Australia have had cricket cheerleaders.
12 cheerleaders and two choreographers will spend 18 days touring the country and performing at major events, and to cheer at the first four games on the Royal Challengers.
The group will perform a mix of Bollywood and American hip-hop moves.

Chennai Super Kings announced 24-member team, led by India?s one-day international and Twenty20 captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni at the Chennai Trade Centre auditorium.
The 24-member team( list here ) will be led by Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the highest-paid IPL Player, and coached by Kepler Wessels.
Chennai Super Kings ’star ambassadors’ Tamil cine stars Illayathalapathy Vijay , Nayanthara, team’s brand ambassador Former India opener Krishnamachari Srikkanth were present at the glittering launch along with Dhoni.
