Chiranjeevi’s “Praja Rajyam” Party Launch Photos
Telugu superstar Chiranjeevi launched his Praja Rajyam (People’s Rule) at a mega rally at holy shrine of Tirupati which was attended by nearly 10 lakh (one million) fans. Fans went out of control at the site leading police to lathicharge on them.

While taking the oath in the name of Lord Venkateshwara to dedicate his life to serve people, Chiranjeevi said
I know your problems, pains and sufferings and will always stand by you. I know about Ganji as well as Benz car. I had experienced poverty first hand during my childhood.
I was inspired by Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, who asked me to enter politics and do my bit to cleanse the system.
NTR had floted Telugu Desam Party (TDP) in 1982 at the very same Tirupati nine months before the elections and had created a record in AP politics.

Chiranjeevi Party Name – Praja Rajyam

Praja Rajyam (People’s Rule) is the name of the political party of the actor turned politician Chiranjeevi. Chiranjeevi formally launched his political party in the holy shrine of Tirupati with a huge fanfare. Over 8 lakh people, including fans attend the meet at the Avilala Cheruvu ground in Tirupati.
While addressing massive rally in Thirupathi Chiranjeevi said
I am overwhelmed by the support and I know what Andhra wants. Who called me into politics. It was you people. What do you want? It should be rule by the people for the people.

Actress Jaya Prada to campaign for Congress
Samajwadi Party tried to lend its hand with Chiranjeevi new party in Andhra Pradesh for the forth-coming assembly elections, but later it dropped the idea after learning Chiru and Advani’s phone call.

Amar Singh, Samajwadi Party leader confirmed that Jaya Prada would campaign for Congress in Andhra Pradesh for the forth-coming assembly elections.
Jaya Prada entered into politics by joining Telugu Desam party. She was nominated to be an MP in Rajyasabha by TDP party. Following differences with party Supremo N. Chandrababu Naidu, she left TDP to join Samajwadi Party and contested from Rampur parliamentary Constituency in UP during the last General election in 2004.
Advani Congrats Chiranjeevi
BJP’s top leader LK Advani called on megastar Chiranjeevi and duly congratulated him on the launch of a new political party, besides appreciating his ideology. He further enquired with Chiru about the alliance factor with the political counterparts in the coming days, reports said.
“With regard to the Party’s name, agenda and flag, I shall be declaring these matters at a public meeting on August 26th at Tirupati. This day happens to be the birthday of Mother Teresa. My sole aim is to make Andhra Pradesh into Santosha Andhra Pradesh and Chiru Navvula Andhra Pradesh.” said Chiranjeevi.
Chiranjeevi Launches Political Party
After a huge speculation for long years, Telegu megastar Chiranjeevi on Sunday announced his entry into politics and said pro-poor policies and social justice will be his party’s main agenda.

Speaking at a press conference with a backdrop hoarding the portraits of Ambedkar, Gandhi, Mother Teresa and Pule, he expressed his wish to serve the people and said that it is former President Kalam who’s inspired him to join politics. Chiranjeevi also mentioned he’s been infuenced by his predecessor N T Rama Rao.
“I may not have experience in politics. But I have a heart to understand a poor man’s problems. I have the intention to help and guts to bring a change. I am more bothered about my people’s livelihood. APJ Abdul Kalam and NTR inspired me !” Chiranjeevi said.
In a career spanning three decades and 140 plus films, Chiranjeevi’s filmography is a mosaic dotted with different genres of cinema which have spelt commercial success at the box office.
As scheduled, Chiranjeevi addressed media conference at 2.45 PM at his newly constructed Party office at Road No. 46, Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad. Clad in white dress, Chiru posed for media photographs for a brief while, minutes before addressing the media. Marking this occasion, there was huge fanfare outside the office. The fans blasted crackers and shouted slogans, “Future CM, Chiru. Chiru Zindabad.”
