Priyamani’s Triple Award Celebration
Priyamani have been conferred the National best actress award for the lead role she played as an innocent girl in Paruthiveeran by the President Smt. Pratibha Devisingh Patil in New Delhi.

Priyamani, along with National Award, recently won the Filmfare South Award and the Osian Cinefan Award for her work in the Tamil film Paruthiveeran, making it a triple celebration.
She is all set to act alongside her favourite actors Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya in the new Mani Ratman film, tentatively titled Ravana – a trilingual to be simultaneously made in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
Sarika Refuses to Comment on Shruti Haasan Debut
Sarika has now made a comeback in Hindi films after her divorce with Kamal Hassan. Her performance in Parzania in which she plays the role of a Zoroastrian woman who loses her child during the 2002 Gujarat riots in India, fetched her the National Film Award for Best Actress.

Sarika’s daughter Shruti Haasan is making her acting debut, according to IANS, Sarika refused to talk about it and said
Ask me only about my films and co-stars. I’m here to promote my film Tahaan
Kamal and Sarika separated in 2003 after being together for nearly 18 years.

Priyamani Received National Award for Best Actress
Actress Priyamani received the National best actress award for the lead role she played as an innocent girl in Paruthiveeran, while Veteran Bengali film actor Soumitra Chatterjee was conferred the best actor award for the Bengali film Podokkhep by the President Smt. Pratibha Devisingh Patil in New Delhi.

Priyamani, along with National Award, recently won the Filmfare South Award and the Osian Cinefan Award for her work in the Tamil film Paruthiveeran, making it a triple celebration.
Priyamani is the 5th tamil actress to win this prestigious National Award winner for best actress from the Tamil film Industry.
Santosh Sivan is Wonderful Director, says Sarika
Atress Sarika’s performance in Parzania in which she plays the role of a Zoroastrian woman who loses her child during the 2002 Gujarat riots in India, fetched her the National Film Award for Best Actress in 2005.

Sarika has now made a comeback in Hindi films after her divorce with Kamal Hassan, together they have two daughters, Shruti Haasan and Akshara hassan
Speaking about her experience of working with Santosh Sivan’s in forthcoming film “Tahaan - a boy with a grenade” sarika said in a timesofindia interview
