Veteran Tamil film director C.V Sridhar who died on Oct 20th was survived by wife, a son and a daughter. His body is kept at his residence in Chennai and the last rites will take place Tuesday.
He is the one who gave super hit Tamil films like Kadhalike Neramillai, Nenjil Oru Aalayam, Venneer Aadai, Gallata Kalyanam, Ootty Varai Uravu, Illamai Oonjal Aadiruthu, Kalyana Parissu, Aalaimani, Thennilavu and many more.
- Director C V Sridhar is the one who introduced actors like AIADMK chief Jayalalithaa. Former TN Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa started her film career with “Vennira Aadai” in 1965
- Sridhar’s Kalyana Parisu was also written by him. Starring Gemini Ganesh, Saroja Devi and Vijayakumari, this triangular love story turned a box office hit.
- Nenjil Or Aalayam, a triangular love story in which he introduced new faces like Devika and R. Muthuraman went on to become a smash hit.
- Kaadhalikka Neramillai, featuring Nagesh, T.S. Balaiah, Muthuraman, Rajasree and Kanchana was another success at the box office.
