Malaysian-based businessman Nagarajan Ravi Murugan a.k.a Nag Ravi, Actress Sneha‘s former lover was caught in the act of taking a camera print of ‘Machakaran‘ movie at Devi Sridevi preview theater in Chennai. Nag Ravi?s Insight Entertainment Media Limited recently celebrated its 1 st anniversary, which deals with production and distribution of Tamil films.
Nag Ravi company has the Malaysia and Singapore distributors rights of Jeevan starring Machakaran. Actor Jeevan got a tip-off around mid-night , that Nag Ravi was is making a pirated copy of Machakaran from a print which need to be sent to Malaysia by him. Later ravi was beaten up by the producer and his men for his ruthless activity.
Producer registered a complaint at Teynampet police station, emergency meeting of Tamil Film Producers Council and distributors association was arranged immediately to discuss the ongoing situation.
Now, it is clear some money minded distributor’s like Nag Ravi are behind pirate movies.

This is an utter nonsense story, that seems to have been maliciously planted and irresponsibly reported. If one wanted to ‘pirate’ a film, in today’s technology, he would surely know better ways of doing it than to screen it in a theatre and shoot with a camera. I saw machakaran. It is not even worth seeing in a pirated CD. It’s a pathetic movie and the Director / producer should be sent to Taliban on exile. Jeeva, who ‘shed’ tears about pirating the movie seems to be a better actor off the screen.
