Kamal launches “Unlikely Hero Om Puri” biography

Om Puri’s official biography Unlikely Hero Om Puri, written by his journalist wife Nandita Puri, was released by Kamal Hassan on December 14 at hotel Sheraton Park in Chennai.

Published by Roli books, the book also has a foreword by late Hollywood actor Patrick Swayze.

Kamal adopts 1000 HIV positive children

December 1st being the World AIDS Day, Kamal Haasan has adopted 1000 children who are HIV positive and has set an example for others.

To mark the World AIDS day Hello FM and Population Service International, a NGO has organised a month long event and awareness programs called ‘Pettralthan Pillaya’.

Lifetime Achievement Award For Kamal Haasan – Rotary Club Madras

Rotary Club of Madras conferred Padmashri Kamal Haasan with Life Time Achievement Award. The commendation ceremony for 2009-2010 was held on November 17 at Hotel Taj Connemera, Chennai.

President Rtn. George Cherian along with Rtn. Aditya Agarwal, Rtn. Vivek Harinarain, Ms.Sudha – Director Vocational Service and other members of Rotary Club, presented the award to Mr. Haasan.
