Kamal Hassan’s 30 short films On Chennai

One of the Best Actor in India, Dr Kamal Hassan plans to produce, direct and act in short films – based on Chennai, Tamil Nadu capital.

“It would be about 30 short films about this city called Chennai.” said Kamal Hassan.

Titled Chennai, 30 short films will be produced by Kamal Hassan. These 30 short films will be scripted by participants of the Chennai International Screenwriting Workshop.

Oscar winning French scriptwriter, Jean Claude Carriere, experienced director and film producer V. Hariharan will guide some of these short films.

Unnaipol Oruvan – Kamal, Mohanlal , Shruti Hassan

Unnaipol Oruvan is the Tamil remake of A Wednesday took off. Movie is being produced by Kamal Hassan’s Rajkamal Film International.

Unnaipol Oruvan was officially launched in Chennai on May Day.Kamal Hassan and Mohanlal appear together for the first time, while is debuting as music director in this movie.

Chakri Toleti, who has acted with Kamal in Salangai Oli as the boy photographer is the director.

Kamal’s next Movie Thalaivan Irukkiraan

It has been said by Kamal itself, one of the leading method actors of Indian cinema, his next movie is Thalaivan Irukkiraan.

Shruti Hassan, daughter of Kamal is making her debut as a music composer in Thalaivan Irukkiraan, being produced by Rajkamal Films International. Shruti Hassan along with Raghav Sachar launched hindi album “Ho Jaane De” recently.

Kamal Hassan at FICCI Frames – Confirms A Wednesday remake

Kamal Hassan was at the FICCI Frames convention to speak on ‘Focus South’. He is is all set to play Naseeruddin Shah’s role in ‘A Wednesday’ which will be remade in Tamil and Telugu.

He said , “My friend said it would be nice if I could do the film so I said why not.”
