Professional car racer and Actor Ajith Kumar is craze for car races. Few years ago that this passion for car racing negatively affected his cine career, he voluntarily stopped participating in car races.

According to media sources Ajith has decided to participate in MRF Formula 1600 International Challenge series to be held at Madras Motor Race Track, Irungattukottai, Sriperumputhur on February 14.

In addition to his acting, Ajith in a sabbatical, participated in the 2004 British Formula Three season as a race driver for a minor outfit, and was ranked the third best motor car driver in India at his peak. He has also been abroad for various races including Germany and Malaysia. He drove in 2003 Formula Asia BMW Championship.

Ajith Kumar’s Asal audio was launched. Here are the photos of Ajith with his wife Shalini at the event.

Asal starring Ajith Kumar brings together Ajith, director Saran and Bharadwaj together again. Earlier trio had teamed up in Kadhal Mannan, Amarkkalam and Attagasam.

In 1999 Ajith began to date his Amarkalam movie co-star Shalini. They got married in 2000 in a grand manner. On 3 January 2008, their daughter Anoushka was born in Chennai.

Gautham Menon to direct Ajith 50th ?

Reports from various media sources indicate that Gautham Menon will direct Ajith for his 50th movie which will be produced by Durai Dayanidhi who is the son of Union Minister M.K Azhagiri.

Look s like Academy Award winner A.R Rahman will score the music for Ajith’s 50th film.

On the occasion of Chennai based designer Sidney Sladen’s birthday bash at Hotel Taj Coromandel. The designer had organized a theme party (Tudor period of Britain) and guests dressed various forms of Tudor Ballroom gowns and cloaks.

Ajith Kumar appearance with wife Shalini was the surprise element of the party. Sidney Sladen dressed as King Henry VIII while Trisha Krishnan dressed as Queen Mary.

Actress Shammu made her debut in Kollywood with K.S. Ravikumar’s ‘Dasavatharam’, in which she played Kamal Haasan’s colleague in the scientific research lab. Now it’s been heard that she has been offered a film by actor Ajith Kumar.

Some of her closer sources just leaked the news that actor Ajith Kumar has offered Shammu to play female lead role in his next film.”

“But later, it was confirmed that that was just a baseless rumor fabricated by the closer circuit of actress to turn the focus on her , since she hasn’t got any offers now.”

Well, the actress was lucky as she was offered to play female lead in Jeevan’s ‘Mayilu’. As the film’s producer Prakash Raj witnessed her profound performance, he recommended her for Priyadarshan’s National award winning film ‘Kanchivaram’.

Of course, Shammu was the one, who donned the role of Prakash Raj’s daughter in this film. Apparently, the actress bagged couple of offers – Karan’s ‘Malayan’ and ‘Maathiyosi’.
