Kamal Haasan’s Fan club (Tamil: Narpani Iyakkam) is organizing blood donation 7 November, to celebrate birthday of actor Kamal Haasan.

Kamal’s Narpani Iyakkam is celebrating this month as ‘A month to save lives‘. It is expected that around 15,000 fans will donate blood on the occasion. Actress Gowthami is inaugurating blood donation camps on Kamal’s B’day.

The southern film stars and industry personnel have always complained that indian film awards and festivals such as IFFI or more commercialized IIFA are too Bollywood centric. So, there was a mini controversy between south and north over the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) that to be held in GOA this year . Controversy is about choice of Dharmendra or Indian Super Star Rajnikanth as the chief guest at the function.

At the World Book Fair in Thiruvananthapuram inagural function a book titled “Kamalahaasanda Randu Thirakadhagal” has been released which has Kamal Haasan’s Hey Ram and Mahanadhi screenplay translated into Malayalam by famous writer Mr.Vishwananthan and released by writer T.Padmanabhan.

“I’m touched that a highly literate Kerala wants my works in their language,
I’ve a long way to go. A time could come when published scripts win the Sahitya Akademi. After all, this is original writing too”. said Kamal hassan:
