Vishnuvardhan will probably direct Ajith’s 50th film …

Filmmaker Vishnuvardhan shares good rapport with ‘Ultimate Star’ Ajith Kumar. Of course, the director holds special mention for offering a great break for Ajith, who was hit by continuous flops in the row with ‘Aalwar’ and ‘Kireedom’ in 2007.

Vishnuvardhan’s remake of ‘Billa’ was labeled as Ajith Kumar’s biggest ever grosses with record breaking collection in box office.

Now as the actor is busy shooting for director Saran’s ‘ASAL’ in France, he seems to have approached Vishnuvardhan for his next project. Closer sources have revealed that it is true that Ajith had requested Vishnuvardhan to provide one-page script. Much apparently invigorated in spirits, the filmmaker has already mailed him the script.

When approached Vishnuvardhan, he has refused to make any statements saying that right now he is busy penning script for a Telugu movie with Allu Arjun in lead role.

Puneet Rajkumar – Highest paid Kannada Movie star

Even though Puneet Rajkumar’s Raaj– The Showman didn’t do wonders at the box office, unlike some people’s claim, he has still been offered Rs. 2.07 crores by the producer of Prithvi. That makes him the highest paid Kannada star. Way to go, Puneet!

Rajkumar’s is the youngest son of Kannada superstar Dr Rajkumar.

Director Jacob Varghese’s Prithvi was launched recently at the Someshwar Temple. The event was attended by a lot of people from the industry. The film stars Puneet Rajkumar and Parvathy Menon. Puneet feels that the movie will do well with younger audiences as it has all the elements that will appeal to them. He wanted to work with Jacob ever since he saw Jacob’s Savari.

Priyadarshan-directed Kanchivaram (Tamil film) has bagged Best Feature Film and Best Actor (Prakash Raj ) awards at the 55th National Film Awards.

Kanchivaram is set in the backdrop of Kanjeevaram’s handloom silk industry from the 1920s to 1948.

Knnada actress Umashree has bagged Best Actress award for the film Gukabi Talkies.

“The name of the company itself means theatre. It would produce both stage dramas and commercial films.” Mammootty told reporters.

Vijay admits, I’m Serious about entering Politics

Actually when we read several news stories about Tamil actor Vijay’s political entry, we thought it’s just gossip. But, it turns to be true.

Ilayathalapathy Vijay, 3rd most popular star in Tamil Nadu after Superstar Rajinikanth and Kamal Hassan has publicly admitted that he is serious about plunging into politics, but has not disclosed the date for that.

In a press statement according to sify, Vijay said,

Yes, I was serious about plunging into politics. My greatest strength is my fans who have always supported me through thick and thin. I have about 37, 000 fan clubs spread across Tamil Nadu who are doing social work. I want to do more for the society and that is why I wanted to enter politics. But for the time being, I have no plans to launch a political party or get actively involved in politics.

Keeping his political aspiration, last year he launched a flag for his fan club (even glam queen Nayanthara was present).

Jayam Ravi marriage with Aarthi On June 7

Prmoising young Tamil Actor Jayam Ravi is marrying his ladylove Aarthi on June 7 at Mayor Ramanathan Centre in Chennai. Marriage and and a reception is said to take place on the same day with the total support of Ravi’s family.

Ravi debuted in the film Jayam (hence the name Jayam Ravi) released in 2002 produced by his father Mohan and directed by his brother M. Raja.

He also has a sister, Roja Mohan, who is a dentist. Jayam Ravi completed his schooling at Jawahar Vidyalaya in Ashok Nagar, Chennai. He studied dancing with the bharatnatyam dancer Nalini Balakrishnan and performed his arangetram at the age of 12. After completing his degree in Visual Communications from Loyola College Chennai, he decided to get into the acting industry. He has also undergone training in acting with Kishore Namit Kapur Institute in Mumbai.

Vijay’s 49th film Vettaikaran has been launched at AVM. Pooja was held at AVM Film Studios famous Pillayar Kovil in Chennai.

Anushka the yoga teacher turned Telugu actress is being paired for the first time with Vijay in the film.
