A Showcase for Fornasetti And Marigold Fine Art

Friday 29th January 2010… Chhaya Momaya with young brother duo Gaurav and Vickram Assomull hosted an exclusive soiree to showcase Marigold Group’s luxurious brands- Fornasetti and Marigold Fine Art in a plush living room splendor at the Four Seasons, Mumbai.

The crème de la crème of Mumbai including Jiah Khan, Gayatri Ruia, Natasha Poonawala, Rita Dhody, Vikram & Tasneem Mehta , Ashwini Kakkar , Kunika Singh, Bhagyashree, Hasina Jethmalani, Sherina Dalamal, Krishika Lulla , Aarti& Khailash Surendernath, Lina Tipnis, Azeem Khan, Arun & Debbie Hitkari, Chirag & Tinaz Doshi, Sunit & Apeksha Chopra , Blaise Fernandes and lots more experienced a truly relaxed evening over champagne and a lavish barbeque spread. With the guitarist strumming his melodies in the background, the ambience was intimate elegant as Chayya Momaya played the gracious hostess and the boys took the guests through an informative artt walk through. Most of the pieces were sold by the end of the classy evening.

The Marigold Group showcased Fornasetti’s handcrafted quirky and distinctively wide collections from the Trumeau-bar, cabinets to house-hold products such as signature ceramics to custom made lateral furniture, which endow a perfect ode to High living.
The guests enjoyed barbeque over cocktails while taking pleasure in enjoying art works by the great masters—Salvador Dali, Pablo Picasso and Lorenzo Quinn. While the elite and stylish guests enjoy savory Flambé and coffee, works by well known European artists like: David Kravoc and Frank Tordjmann were showcased, as a part of this gathering.
Fornasetti: Piero Fornasetti (1913-1988) was a Milan painter, a sculptor, an interior decorator, an engraver of art books, a creator of more than 11,000 items, a deviser of sceneries and customs, an organizer of international exhibitions and events. As far as the variety of decorations is concerned, Fornasetti’s production of objects and furniture is one of the largest of the 20th century.
Fornasetti’s son – Barnaba (1950 – ) – is perpetuating the workshop tradition in his Atelier, continuing the production (re-editions) and reviving the most popular pieces, creating new ones (re-inventions), renewing hand crafted production, in collaboration with industries which manufacture under license.
