Gold’s Gym and Veer Strength Challenge


Gold’s Gym, known as the authority in fitness for the last 20 years, and Salman Khan, the epitome of fitness in Bollywood got together at Gold’s Gym to promote fitness through the Strength Challenge . A few others spotted were Ashmit Patel, Ritwik Bhattacharya, Ayaz Khan and Shekhar Ravijani of the Vishal & Shekhar Duo.

The contestants were judged on the basis of their strength; evaluated on the bench press, shoulder press and chest press machines.At the end of the challenge the top 3 male and female contenders were handed out trophies by Salman Khan. Salman also shared his fitness tips and his workout routine (for his film Veer) with the members.


Salman known for his intense cycling bouts; shared that he randomly cycles three hours to panvel and does about 1000 push-ups a day or 2,000 sit-ups a day; based on his mood. Salman usually works out for at least two hours continuously and his workouts includes one hour of cardio; concentrating on any two body parts each time – either triceps, legs, back and biceps. The secret behind his perfect abs are about five hundred crunches, pull-ups and chin-ups.
