Salma Hayek Joins UNICEF To Fight Tetanus in Moms and Babies



Salma Hayek, Oscar nominated Mexican/American Actress and new mom is in campaign to helping UNICEF fight tetanus in moms, babies with vaccinations. Hayek is the spokeswoman for the “One Pack One Vaccine” program.

To help mothers in developing nations worldwide, Salma Hayek teamed up with Pampers and UNICEF to help stop the spread of life-threatening maternal and neonatal tetanus. Ms. Hayek will serve as the spokesperson for the Pampers/UNICEF partnership in the U.S. and Canada to help raise awareness of this program.

Tetanus kills 140,000 babies and 30,000 mothers each year.
