Sahitya Akademi, India’s national academy of letters is an organization committed to promoting Indian literature, in all its richness and diversity, throughout the world.
Recently, Kamal Hassan organized a function to facilitate poet Puviyarasu, who has received Sahitya Academy Award for translated works.
“These awards are not important for them, but they are important because it reminds us about the existence of such great writers,” he said at the function.
