India is all set to realize it’s dream. The countdown has entered it’s final hours at the Satish Dhawan Space Centre at Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh, India.

On Wednesday October 22, 2008 at 6.20 am IST, when engines ignite, a 1,304-kg rocket will blasts off into space - a dream will be realized.

The launch will put India into an Asian space race. It will be a small step for mankind, but a giant leap forward for India.

The dream, which will take India to new heights with the mission to moon - Chandrayaan-1. The Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV-C11), will put Chandrayaan-1, into orbit.

Chandrayaan-1, lunar mission is the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO)’s first attempt to propel a spacecraft beyond the Earth’s atmosphere.  This Moon mission project is estimated at a cost Rs 386 crore.

Chandrayaan-1 is on a 2 year mission to perform high-resolution remote sensing of the moon in the visible, near-infrared (NIR), low-energy X-ray and high-energy X-ray regions.

Both submitted mutual consent to end the 7 year-old relation, Now Chennai family court on Friday allowed actress Urvasi and her husband, actor Manoj K Jayan to divorce.

Both the stars entered wedlock in 2000, that they had started with a brief period of love affair.The two have a daughter named Thejalakshmi from their marriage. Right now, Manoj and his parents have the custody of his daughter Thejalakshmi.

Veteran Tamil film director C.V Sridhar who died on Oct 20th was survived by wife, a son and a daughter. His body is kept at his residence in Chennai and the last rites will take place Tuesday.

He is the one who gave super hit Tamil films like Kadhalike Neramillai, Nenjil Oru Aalayam, Venneer Aadai, Gallata Kalyanam, Ootty Varai Uravu, Illamai Oonjal Aadiruthu, Kalyana Parissu, Aalaimani, Thennilavu and many more.

• Director C V Sridhar is the one who introduced actors like AIADMK chief Jayalalithaa. Former TN Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa started her film career with “Vennira Aadai” in 1965
• Sridhar’s Kalyana Parisu was also written by him. Starring Gemini Ganesh, Saroja Devi and Vijayakumari, this triangular love story turned a box office hit.
• Nenjil Or Aalayam, a triangular love story in which he introduced new faces like Devika and R. Muthuraman went on to become a smash hit.
• Kaadhalikka Neramillai, featuring Nagesh, T.S. Balaiah, Muthuraman, Rajasree and Kanchana was another success at the box office.

Veteran Tamil film director C.V Sridhar who introduced former TN Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa into films through “Vennira Aadai” in 1965 passed away today (October 20th) morning (9.45am) at Malar Hospital in Chennai, He was 80.

He suffered stroke a few years back and he was admitted in hospital some days back when his condition was weaken and was kept under emergency care before he died.

He entered films as a dialogue writer and made his debut as a director with Kalyanaparisu. He started his own production company Chitralaya in 1961 and made a series of commercially successful films like Nenjil Oru Alayam(remade into hindi as Dil Ek Mandir).

He has directed films in Hindi, Kannada and Telugu.

Kadhalike Neramillai, Nenjil Oru Aalayam, Vennira Aadai, Gallata Kalyanam, Ootty Varai Uravu, Illamai Oonjal Aadiruthu, Kalyana Parissu, Aalaimani, Thennilavu were some of his Tamil Blickbusters

Dil Ek Mandir, Pyaar Kiya Jaa, Nazarana, Gehri Chaal were his some of his Hindi superhits.
