Its barely three weeks since Sun TV launched it’s film production company called  Sun Pictures, now it’s so called rival Kalaignar TV is also foraying into film production, according to media reports.

Kalaignar TV is remaking Rajinikanth’s Murattu Kalai (1980) which is to be directed by Selvabharathy.

Murattu Kaalai was a blockbuster Superstar Rajnikanth’s film of 1980s which featured Rajnikanth, Sumalatha, Suruli Rajan in lead roles. ‘Podhuvaaga en manasu thangam’ was the famous song featured in this film. This song is till date, one of the best Rajnikanth song and will remain so forever. Ilayaraaja has done the music.  S.P.Muthuraman who directed this film went onto direct 25 films with Rajnikanth.

In the remake of Murattu Kalai our minimum guarantee hero Sundar.C is doing the Rajini’s role, while Suman is doing the villain role done by Jayashankar and Vivek is doing the Suralirajan’s comedy role.

This film is scheduled to release in 2009.

Oscar-winning Legendary blue-eyed film star Paul Newman has died of lung cancer at the age of 83 at his farmhouse near Westport, Connecticut. Paul Newman good looks and talent made him one of the top actors over six decades in Hollywood.

Paul Newman was nominated for Oscars 10 times, winning one regular award and two honorary. His co-stars included Elizabeth Taylor, Lauren Bacall, Tom Cruise, Tom Hanks and, most famously, Robert Redford.

Newman is survived by his wife, five children, two grandsons and his older brother Arthur.

There were reports that actress Sangeetha has married the playback singer Krish at Tirupati temple recently. Today Sangeetha is one of the busiest artistes in Tamil and Telugu movies.

Sangeetha and Krish denied that they are married, and said ther are good friends. Krish says that we went with our friends to Tirupati for attending actress Maheswari’s wedding, that could have triggred rumour.

TimeofIndia reported that Sangitha aka Rasika as saying,

No we have not tied the knot, it is mere rumours. I had told you earlier that I’m seeing somebody and that person is Krish. We vibe very well, and get along like a house on fire.

Krish who is craze among youngsters after June Ponal..(Unnale Unnale) Saghiye.. (Dhaam Dhoom) hit songs and with Adiye Kolluthe…( Vaaranam Aayiram) said

I like Sangeetha and we are seeing each other, but it is too early to get married. When we get married, it will be in style under full media glare. Till then leave us alone to concentrate on our careers.
