The world’s oldest, Europe’s most glamorous running film festival opened in the Italian coastal city of Venice, with the premiere of the much talked about Coen brothers’ Burn After Reading. Hollywood actors George Clooney along with Brad Pitt, is in Venice to showcase new film ‘Burn After Reading’ at the Venice Film Festival.

Filmmakers from around the world have submitted their works for the competition. There are 21 movies competing for the coveted Golden Lion.

This year’s festival is dedicated to Egyptian filmmaker Youssef Chahine who died last month at the age of 82.

If reports are to be believed then Superstar Rajinikanth could do a quickie movie like Kuselan which will be released in 2009.

Rajinikanth’s Robot directed by Shankar will be released only in 2010. Since Soundarya’s Sultan- The Warrior is an animation film, fans may not welcome it.

Kuselan made unnecessary burden on his superstar image with distributors and theatre owners, So Rajini is considering a quickie. Rajinikanth has sorted out the Kuselan issue, Rs 7 crore will be paid as compensation for the theaters to cover the losses.

According to reports Rajini is looking for a trusted director including director Murgadoss to do the quick movie.

Earlier Shilpa Shetty admited dating Raj Kundra, now she has revealed that she plans to marry her year-long boyfriend London born Indian millionaire entrepreneur Raj Kundra in another year and a half. Shilpa became as an international celeb following her success in the UK-based reality show Big Brother.

Raj’s former wife Kavita had accused Shilpa of breaking her marriage by having an affair with Raj. But the other version is that Shilpa came to know Raj four months after his wife had parted with him.

I normally don’t talk about my personal life, but his name is Raj Kundra. We met a year ago. Hollywood actress Anne Hathaway was in Denver at the Democratic convention. She has revealed that she was not really keen on voting for presidential hopeful Barack Obama when she first saw him.

Appearing as part of Holywood’s Creative Coalition, in an interview with the Associated Press Anne Hathaway who recently split from her Italian businessman beau Raffaello Follieri said,

I was kind of afraid of Obama the first time I saw him. I thought, I’ve been burned by guys like you before. I’ve been burned by politicians before that I wanted to believe in and just didn’t live up to it. And I was afraid to trust him and I was afraid to have hope when I first kind of became aware of him.

It was around the time that he gave his speech on race that I just said ‘I can’t deny how I feel about you, Barack Obama. I want you to be the president. I want you in the White House.

Hathaway is among the famous faces who are attending Democratic National Convention in Denver.
