American actress Reese Witherspoon is Hollywood’s highest paid actress, according to a new study by the Hollywood Reporter.
This Blonde star makes an estimated $15 to $20 million per film. This has put the actress at the top of the new list, ahead of Cameron Diaz and Nicole Kidman.

Kamal’s Dasavatharam, has hit the theatres and it is making waves across the country with mixed reviews. In his next venture Kamal is said to be using a new digital movie camera called Red One camera in Marmayogi.

Red One Camera is capable of recording at resolutions up to 4096 horizontal by 2304 vertical pixels, directly to flash or hard disk based digital storage. It features a single Super 35-sized CMOS sensor and a cinematography industry standard PL mount.
Red One digital camera was tested shooting the Hollywood film Wanted. Wanted stars James McAvoy and Angelina Jolie Wanted has a target release date of June 27, 2008.

A. R. Rahman has been conferred a Lifetime Achievement Award for his services to Indian music by the Rotary Club of Madras on the 24th of June in Chennai.
“I feel like my slate is yet to be written on,” said A.R. Rahman while accepting the Lifetime Achievement Award (2007-2008) conferred upon him by the Rotary Club of Madras.
“If you can start playing the piano at four, you can accept a Lifetime Achievement Award at 40,” said Indra Subramanyam, President, Rotary Club of Madras.
Rahman said he listens to music from different genres, from The Carpenters to M.S. Vishwanathan and compositions of Kannadasan and Naushad.
