The iconic magazine Rolling Stone has launched its new edition in India last week. Wenner Media LLC has licensed its Rolling Stone brand and content in a deal with MW India Pvt Ltd to launch the magazine in at least 10 major urban markets from Mumbai to Kolkata.

Gouthami , Kamal Hassan, Kamal Hassan’s daughter Akshara hassan and Gouthami ’s daughter Subhalakshmi were seen at the Rolling Stones Magazine launch  to see Kamal’s daughter Shruthi Haasan’s first live performance.

Kamal Hassan and Gouthami’s friendship go a long time back. Kamal and Gouthami have been quite friendly since their days of working together on the set of ‘Thevar Magan‘ (1992) and had a spectacular onscreen chemistry.

Gouthami, well-known actress, is successfully fighting an intense battle against breast cancer.

Simran is back, this time on the small screen with Simran Thirai. Simran Thirai is not a serial but a Tele-film with different stories that will be aired from March 3 on Jaya TV, Mon-Fri 8.30 pm.

The series will have a mini serial per month with one story running for a month. The stories are selected from many writers and will be directed by different directors. Simran will handle the protagonist’s role in each story. Every story will have by a different director and technicians to give a distinct cinematic flavour to the programme.

Simran Thirai is produced by Pyramid Saimira. The first two episodes of Simran Thirai will be directed by actress Sri Priya (Vannathupoochi) and director Ahathiyan. Vairamuthu has done the title song lyrics.

Jodhaa Akbar released on February 15, 2008 is turning out to be a huge hit worldwide. It stars Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in lead roles.

The film centers around the romance between the Muslim Mughal Emperor Akbar, played by Hrithik Roshan and his Hindu wife, Jodhabai, played by Aishwarya Rai(photos here), although in reality Akbar’s wife was never known as Jodhabai. The music is composed by acclaimed music composer A. R. Rahman.

The dubbed version slicker version of Jodhaa Akbar in Tamil releasing on ‘Mahasivarathri‘ day (March 6) all over Tamilnadu.

We posted that Vijayakanth is going to launch a new TV Channel called Captain TV. It’s is official, they have formally applied for the approval. TV channel is expected to start broadcasting on 2009 Pongal Day.

Buzz is that Vijayakanth wants Tamil name instead of name “Captain TV“. Let his fans keep their fingers crossed, as everything keeps changing till it is made official.
