Haryana Government exempted Aamir Khan’s directorial debut `Taare Zameen Par‘ (TZP) from payment of entertainment tax for 12 weeks in the state.

Film deals with a sensitive social problem about children, portrayed the issue beautifully and tries to educate parents and teachers on how to take care of children so that they can grow into useful members of society with self esteem , which requires urgent attention of the society, said excise and taxation minister Birender Singh.

• 11-year-old star Darsheel Safary won the Critics awards for Best Actor 2008 for his role in Taare Zameen Par.
• Tabu won the the Critics awards Best Actress for her performance in Cheeni Kum.

Superstar Rajinikanth has confirmed that he will appear in movie Kuselan, just what Mammootty has done in the original. Superstar will be a part of Kuselan “without diluting the spirit of the Malayalam original in any way”.

It is now clear that we cannot expect superstar in the introduction song or stylish fight, as in his other movie or have more duets with a young heroine!.

Hijacked plane landed in Afghanistan, where the hijackers agreed to release their hostages in exchange for the release of 3 extremists.

On December 31, 1999, hostages were freed in exchange of three extremists. During their 173 hours of captivity, the passengers and the crew lived and re-lived, experienced and re-experienced many uncomfortable emotions.
