Noted writer Neela Padmanaban has bagged Kendra Sahithya Akademy Award for the year of 2006, for his novel ‘Adayalangal’. The award for the best literary translations is bagged by KS Viswabharadas for his work ‘Naan Adijeevcha Agniparikshanangal’.

Neela Padmanabhan won the academy award for the best writer in Tamil. Sahitya Akademi gives twenty-four awards to literary works in the languages it has recognized, the awards are meant to recognize and promote excellence in Indian writing.

Dubbed version of sizzling Nayantara’s recent Telugu movie ‘Lakshmi‘ is to be released in Tamil by January. Nayantara has paired with Telugu superstar Venkatesh in ‘Lakshmi‘. Director by V.V. Vinayak and Music by Ramana Gokula( Vijay’s Bhadri music director) , ‘Lakshmi‘ would appeal to family audiences.

Emdan Magan success Team — Bharath, Vadivel , Director M.Thirumurugan and Vidyasagar are joining hands together in a new family based movie called “Muniyandi Vilangial Moonramandu” (MVM).

Vadivel and Bharath are doing the lead, and new face Thamarai a Tamil girl as the heroine.

The story is about a village youth who dares to dream big which leads to complicated situations in his life, against a Muniswaran temple background. MVM will be a summer 2008 release.
